Diamond Term Explanation
- A commercial expression, NOT the indication of the cut quality by a grading standard of HRD, IGI or GIA.
- A mineral crystal contained in a diamond.
- Imperfection internal to the diamond, the unique 'birth mark' of a diamond. Inclusions are to be viewed with a 10x loupe and grade the diamond clarity. Not two diamonds have the same position, size and color of the inclusion.
- Internal indications of irregular crystal growth. May appear milky, like faint lines or streaks, or may be colored or reflective.
